We delivered Mabel to a camp this weekend in the Muskokas (a 4 to 5-ish hour trip) and we packed the tent just in case it made some sense to get a site and camp in Algonquin park to avoid driving both ways in a single day. We ended up in Kearney Lake at the last minute (there were only 3 sites left). The evening was lovely and photogenic, but hot as hell. Mabel and I went "moose viewing" early the next morning , it was a glorious day and we drove from one end of the park to the other but the voyage was mooseless. Defeated in our attempts to view wildlife we went to the visitor centre later for a dose of ersatz nature. We did see a fox walking by the side of the road and a beaver swam by too . . .

Beautiful stuff. Quiet. Elegant. What photography can be. I heard you say, somewhere else on your blog, that you were sick of jumping thru those Art/Exhibition hoops, that taking them was just about enough. I know what you mean, baby. Push the button.
